Job summary

Interstates is seeking an Electrical QA/QC Foreman to supervise electrical and low voltage work, lead QA/QC activities, and ensure safety, quality, and client standards on assigned projects. You will provide daily leadership to crews, coordinate inspections, and drive continuous improvement across quality and execution.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 7+ years in construction/QA/QC roles, and leadership/communication skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in construction, QA/QC manufacturing, or data center environments.
• Advanced working knowledge of industry standards and QA/QC best practices.
• Proven experience supervising crews and/or leading QA/QC teams.

• Electrical journeyman license depending on field role.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical/low voltage crews and QA/QC Technicians, building strong, accountable teams.
• Conduct daily huddles, establish safety, quality, and production expectations, and monitor progress against project goals.
• Plan work 2–3 weeks ahead, coordinating materials, inspections, equipment, to remove quality and schedule obstacles.
• Support project leadership with issue resolution, schedule updates, and client communication as needed.
• Develop, execute, and maintain the project QA/QC Plan and Inspections.
• Lead inspections, testing, and verification activities to ensure NEC compliance and client standards.
• Coordinate inspections with internal QA/QC groups.
• Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), root cause analysis, and corrective actions through resolution.
• Maintain detailed daily logs, inspection records, test results, and turnover documentation.
• Enforce site safety expectations and participate in safety meetings.

The Electrical QA/QC Foreman is a leader responsible for supervising electrical, low voltage work, or manufacturing QA/QC execution while leading all quality assurance and quality control activities on assigned projects. This role ensures work is performed safely, meets NEC, project specifications, and client standards, and is fully documented for inspection, turnover, and final acceptance. The QA/QC Foreman provides daily leadership to crews and QA/QC staff, coordinates inspections, and supports continuous improvement across quality and execution.

QA/QC Foreman Responsibilities

Field Leadership & Supervision

• Lead, motivate, and mentor electrical/low voltage, craft professionals, and/or QA/QC Technicians, building strong, accountable teams.
• Conduct daily huddles, establish clear safety, quality, and production expectations, and monitor progress against project goals.
• Plan work 2–3 weeks ahead, coordinating materials, inspections, equipment, to remove quality and schedule obstacles. Required involvement varies based on the size of project and/or location of the work.
• Support project leadership with issue resolution, schedule updates, and client communication as needed.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Develop, execute, and maintain the project QA/QC Plan and Inspections.
• Lead inspections, testing, and verification activities to ensure compliance with NEC, project specifications, and client standards.
• Coordinate inspections with internal QA/QC groups.
• Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), root cause analysis, and corrective actions through resolution and closure.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain detailed daily logs, inspection records, test results, red‑line drawings, RFIs, and quality documentation using Interstates systems.
• Track time, quantities, productivity, and quality metrics accurately.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of turnover packages and documentation required for final acceptance.

Safety & Standards

• Enforce site safety expectations and actively participate in safety meetings.
• Ensure all work aligns with Interstates safety standards, QA/QC best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or GED required, technical in a related field preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in construction, QA/QC manufacturing, or data center environments.
• Advanced working knowledge of industry standards and QA/QC best practices.

Location/Travel

This position will require 100% travel to assigned worksites across the United States.

Applicants must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Per diem and mileage stipends applicable per company policy.

Work Schedule

Start times, break times and work hours vary per site and stage of our projects. Our employees work more than 40 hours per week but no more than 60, as part of our commitment to safety. Due to the type of construction, weekend work may be required on occasion.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, this role is often exposed to high/precarious places, risk of electrical shock, and all outside weather conditions. This role is expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Due to the nature of our work and our client base, this role may involve tasks in an environment exposed to dust. Candidates should be comfortable working in these conditions and complying with safety standards to protect their well‑being.
