Job summary

Google is seeking a Data Center Electrical Engineer to join its growing Data Center Engineering team. Based in The Dalles, OR, you will design, implement, and manage electrical systems for mission critical facilities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency.

You will drive power system design from basis of design to construction documents, mentor junior engineers, and help ensure compliance with codes and standards while optimizing for energy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in electrical engineering.
• At least 3 years in estimating, design, operation, and commissioning of substations and ATP/ATS.
• At least 3 years designing mission critical facilities.
• Experience with electrical infrastructure of mission critical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert electrical system design requirements for data center projects from inception to completion.
• Develop, implement, and manage the electrical designs at the site level from Basis of Design to construction documents.
• Coordinate with Engineer of Record to respond to site-specific engineering RFIs and align Google's requirements.
• Collaborate with core engineering to develop Basis of Design and coordinate system schematics.
• Own and manage site-level power system issues during project execution and document all electrical design requirements.
