ManpowerGroup is assisting a global energy and infrastructure client seeking a Data Center Electrical Engineer in Houston, TX. This on-site role supports design-to-commissioning for large-scale data center projects within the Engineering department.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's in electrical engineering, 2–10 years of data center experience, and proficiency with ETAP, AutoCAD, and Revit, with PE certification highly desirable.

• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems.
• Ability to interpret IEC, NEC, OSHA, NFPA standards.
• Experience in data center infrastructure design.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical scope of large-scale data center projects from design through commissioning.
• Review and approve electrical drawings and documentation for industry standards.
• Coordinate with vendors and procurement to evaluate quotations and specs.
• Design and analyze electrical systems including load lists and single-line diagrams.
• Assist during manufacturing, installation, troubleshooting and site commissioning.

Our client, a global player in the energy and infrastructure sector, is seeking an Data Center Electrical Engineer to join their team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering department supporting project development and execution teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Support the electrical scope of large-scale data center projects from design through commissioning.
• Review and approve electrical drawings, designs, and documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Coordinate with vendors and procurement teams to evaluate quotations and technical specifications.
• Design and analyze electrical systems including load lists, single line diagrams, and earthing protection systems.
• Assist during manufacturing, installation, troubleshooting, and site commissioning activities.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 2 to 10 years of experience in electrical design or engineering, preferably in data center infrastructure.
• Proficiency with ETAP, AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant engineering software, PE highly desired!
• Knowledge of electrical power systems, including UPS, generators, switchgear, and power distribution units.
• Ability to interpret industry standards, codes, and regulations such as IEC, NEC, OSHA, and NFPA.
