Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join a global engineering team responsible for the design and continuous innovation of our data center footprint. You will design resilient electrical distribution systems and drive uptime for customers while collaborating with utilities, vendors, and internal groups.

In this role you will own designs from concept to permit and construction documents, define equipment specs, and support commissioning and turnover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years in data center design, construction, or maintenance.
• Knowledge of critical data center equipment.
• Experience with building codes and regulations in your region.

Responsibilities

• Data center electrical designs and construction documents.
• Meet quality and budget requirements.
• Coordinate with local authorities for codes compliance.
• Review and approve equipment submittals.
• Define project scope and respond to information requests.
• Support commissioning and test installation performance.
