Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Control Engineer for an on-site contract-to-hire role in Manassas, Virginia. You will lead instrumentation device development, commissioning, and system calibration, working with EPMS/SCADA, BMS, and PLCs.

Candidates need 4+ years with EPMS/SCADA systems, Modbus, and network configuration; experience with Allen-Bradley, Ignition, Distech, Niagara, and Siemens Desigo is a plus. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

Requires 4+ years with EPMS/SCADA, BMS or industrial instrumentation.
Develop, implement, and maintain complex BMS/EPMS/SCADA systems.
Basic TCP/IP configuration and equipment networking.
Configure Modbus gateways and troubleshooting tools like Modscan.
Familiar with vendor equipment such as meters, PDUs, ATS, gensets, UPS, batteries.

Responsibilities

Lead technical aspects of instrumentation device development, testing, startup, and commissioning.
Navigate EPMS and SCADA apps for monitoring and data retrieval.
Open/close and rack equipment safely for monitoring points.
Load and update PLC projects and configure communication parameters.
