Data Center Construction QA / QC Manager – Atlanta, GA

This opportunity is with a leading EPC company of data center design, build, and commissioning solutions. We are looking for an experienced Data Center Colo QA/QC Manager to support a critical facility construction project by coordinating between Engineering and Construction teams to drive the commissioning process. The manager will oversee overall quality of the project, focusing on installation and commissioning of key infrastructure systems per company policies and procedures, coordinate the commissioning schedule with the master schedule, and report site status to senior leadership and clients. The candidate should have experience leading commissioning, MEP construction coordination, and communication with contractors and vendors for documentation, technician scheduling, and startup/testing of complex electrical and mechanical equipment in a data‑center environment. Experience analyzing processes, creating documentation, developing operational procedures, and performing Levels 1‑3 commissioning is required. The subject‑matter expert will also support the development and implementation of mission‑critical operations and maintenance initiatives based on best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Perform periodic site walk‑throughs to ensure procedures and standards are followed, assisting support staff and vendors as needed.
  • Manage and perform level 1‑3 commissioning procedures for the project.
  • Communicate the status of operations with senior management.
  • Oversee site acceptance and commissioning of the facility to meet company standards.
  • Assist in developing and approving MOPs for data‑hall work.
  • Supervise on‑site facility staff, technicians, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure commissioning complies with established practices.
  • Act as an escalation point for client relationships at the site.
  • Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on critical facility operations and maintenance.
  • Coordinate with business leaders to optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Review MOPs and SOPs for all equipment work.
  • Maintain readiness to support a 99.999% uptime mission goal.
  • Conduct O&M program analysis and reporting for critical facilities.
  • Design critical environment programs for clients.
  • Coordinate with design and construction teams.
  • Recommend and implement industry best practices in critical environment programs.
  • Develop process documentation and training materials.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant experience (military a plus).
  • Certifications as a commissioning professional (BCxP, CxA, CCP, etc.) a plus.
  • NETA / NICET certification a plus.
  • Journeyman or master’s license in MEP a plus.
  • 5–10 years of data‑center facility construction and commissioning experience.
  • Experience on projects 5 MW or larger a plus.
  • 3–5 years of QA/QC, commissioning, MEP coordination, or related experience.
  • Prior experience with a GC or 3rd‑party commissioning company a huge plus.
  • Solid understanding of critical electrical power systems or mechanical/HVAC equipment in a data‑center environment.
  • Veteran experience in electrical or mechanical roles a huge plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, Teams).
  • Experience with BIM 360/ACC, CxAlloy, and ACMS as needed.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; good presentation skills.
  • Superior analytical, planning, and problem‑resolution abilities.
  • Highly organized, self‑motivated, with proven project‑management skills.
  • Detail‑oriented organizational skills.
  • Strong customer‑service skills.
  • Open to travel during the week; limited travel for nearby projects.
  • Relocation assistance available.
