Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager to lead construction project management for new builds and capital projects. You will own project scope, quality, schedule, and budget while coordinating with Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning to ensure timely delivery of high-performing data centers.

You will drive cost control, manage vendors and contractors on-site, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold safety and efficiency

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.
5+ years of project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure.
Knowledge of electrical diagrams and building codes including Life Safety, NFPA, NEC, or OSHA.
Experience reading and interpreting construction specifications and drawings.

Responsibilities

Direct interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.
Conduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals.
Create construction project scope and requests for proposals.
Perform financial analysis of construction.
Manage construction projects for initiatives increasing data center resiliency.
Conduct constructability reviews of electrical and mechanical designs.
