Job summary

Pkaza LLC is seeking a Data Center Colo Commissioning Project Manager to support a critical facility datacenter in Bastrop, TX. You will coordinate between engineering and construction teams to drive the commissioning process and ensure high‑quality installation and testing of electrical and mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience.
• Cx professional certifications (BCxP, CxA, CCP, etc.) a plus.
• 5-10+ years of data center facility construction and commissioning experience.
• Data Center Project experience on projects 5 MW or larger a plus.
• 3-5 years of QA / QC, commissioning, MEP coordination or related experience.
• Experience with GC or 3rd party CxA company a huge plus.
• Strong understanding of critical electrical power systems or mechanical/HVAC in a data center environment.
• Military/veterans a huge plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, Teams).
• Experience with BIM 360 / ACC, CxAlloy, end user ACMS as necessary.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills; good presentation skills.
• Highly organized with proven project management abilities; self motivated.
• Open to travel M-F / home on weekends / limited travel if located near a project.

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic site walk‑throughs to ensure Company procedures and standards are followed.
• Manage and perform level 1-3 commissioning procedures for the data center project.
• Communicate the status of the operation process with senior management.
• Site acceptance and commissioning of the facility to meet Company standards.
• Assist in developing procedures / MOPs for the DC build and approve MOPs for data hall work.
• Supervise on-site management including the facility manager and sub-contractors to ensure proper commissioning.
• Manage client relationships and act as escalation point of contact.
• Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses and prepare reports on critical facility operations.
• Coordinate with Design/Construction Team and review MOPs/SOPs for all work.
• Ensure readiness for 99.999% uptime; conduct O&M program analyses.
• Develop process documentation and training materials.

Data Center Construction Commissioning Project Manager – Bastrop, TX

We are looking for an experienced Data Center Colo Commissioning Project Manager to support a critical facility data center construction project with coordination between Engineering and Construction Teams to drive the Cx process. The CxA PM will be responsible for managing the overall quality of data center construction projects, with a focus on installation and commissioning of key infrastructure systems in accordance with company’s policies and procedures. The CxA Project Manager will coordinatethe Cx Schedule with the Master Schedule and report the status of the site CxA to senior leadership and our clients. The candidate should be experienced in leading the Commissioning process and understand the MEP construction coordination of complex data center projects, communicate with contractors and vendors to obtain documentation, schedule technicians, and coordinate startup and testing of complex electrical and mechanical equipment and systems in a datacenter environment.Must have experience analyzing processes, creating process documentation, developing operational procedures, experience with Levels 1-3 commissioning and communicating effectively with both business and operations managers. The Subject Matter expert supports the development and implementation of Mission Critical O&M initiatives, based on company’s best practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform level 1-3 commissioning procedures for the data center project
• Communicate the status of the operation process with senior management
• Site acceptance and commissioning of the facility to ensure the site meets the superior and dynamic standards of Company Standards
• Assist in the development of procedures / Method of Procedures (MOPs) for the DC build in addition to approving MOPs for data hall work
• Supervise the on‑site management the facility manager, facility technicians, sub‑contractors and vendors, ensuring that all level 1 -3 commissioning is performed according to established practices and procedures
• Manage at a high level – the client relationship and act as escalation point of contact for the company for the site
• Manage the establishment of performance benchmarks, conduct analyses and prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility operations and maintenance
• Work with business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability and efficiency
• Review MOPs and SOPs for all work on critical data center facility equipment
• Ensure that a constant state of readiness in support of the mission goal of 99.999% uptime
• Conduct critical facilities Operations and Maintenance (O&M) program analysis and reporting
• Design Critical Environment Programs for both internal and external clients
• Coordinate with Design/Construction Team
• Assess, recommend and implement industry best practices into new and existing Critical Environment Programs
• Develop process documentation and training materials

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience including Military a plus
• Certifications as a Cx Professional (BCxP, CxA, CCP, etc.)a plus
• NETA / NICET certification a plus
• Journeyman or Master’s License in MEP a plus
• 5-10+ years of data center facility construction and commissioning experience
• Data Center Project experience on projects 5 MW or larger a plus
• 3-5 years of Quality Assurance / Quality Controls, Commissioning, MEP Coordination, or other relevant experience
• Previous experience working with a GC or 3rd Party CxA Company a huge plus
• Solid Understanding of Critical Electrical Power Systems or Mechanical / HVAC equipment in a data center environment
• Previous experience in the Military / Military Veterans a huge plus! Experience with Electrical / Mechanical: Navy nukes – EMN, ETN, MMNs, Seabees, Army – Power Generation, Air Force – Power Production, Generator Techs, Maritime, Coast Guard, Army National Guard, etc.
