Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Data Center Commissioning Engineer (CxE) to join the DCGS organization. You will oversee testing and validation of electrical and mechanical infrastructure in AWS data centers, review designs, lead factory testing, and coordinate with vendors to meet safety, quality, and schedule goals.

The role requires multi-discipline input on scheduling, testing, and planning, with travel up to 80% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering, installation, or startup/commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Strong technical competency in mechanical or electrical or control systems used in critical infrastructures.
• Ability to review design docs, submittals, and sequences of operations per Amazon standards.
• Experience developing commissioning documentation such as test plans, scripts, and reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide testing and validation oversight of AWS data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
• Lead Factory Witness Testing and manage third-party commissioning vendors onsite.
• Audit activities to ensure environmental, quality, and safety compliance and report status weekly.
