Job summary

The Commissioning Lead at AECOM in Las Vegas, NV will oversee field commissioning of data center projects, ensuring MEP and controls systems meet OPR and industry standards. You will collaborate with AE, contractors, vendors, and clients to deliver reliable, efficient infrastructure.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in commissioning of critical facilities, ASHRAE guidelines, and experience with UPS, generators, AHUs, BMS, and IST.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field with 8+ years of experience or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass AECOM’s MVR review.
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning field efforts for data center projects.
• Perform independent commissioning design reviews for OPR compliance.
• Develop project commissioning plan and L1-5 procedures.
• Integrate commissioning activities into the construction schedule.
• Conduct site inspections for installation quality and readiness.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across project phases.
• Oversee energization, startups, testing, and IST of critical systems.
• Verify OPR compliance for UPS, generators, air distribution, hydronic systems, BMS.
• Identify and track deficiencies through resolution.
• Prepare commissioning reports and closeout documentation.
• Support client training and turnover.
• Adhere to site safety requirements.
