Job summary

LotusWorks is seeking an experienced commissioning engineer to support the turnover of critical electrical and mechanical systems within a data center environment. You will collaborate with the project team, MEP subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and the Owner’s commissioning team to drive system readiness and successful turnover.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and specs, tracking readiness, verifying pre-functional activities, and supporting IST with the CxA.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting commissioning, startup, or construction of electrical and/or mechanical systems in data centers or large-scale facilities.
• Understanding of commissioning processes including pre-functional verification, startup, IST, and turnover.
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, submittals, test procedures, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, equipment requirements, and documentation to support construction and commissioning.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and Owner’s commissioning team to ensure readiness.
• Track commissioning readiness against project milestones and schedules.
• Verify completion of pre-functional requirements, startup activities, inspections, and testing before turnover.
• Support functional performance testing and IST with CxA, subcontractors, vendors, and project team.
• Review sequences of operation, BMS integration, alarms, interlocks, and interfaces.
• Identify, document, track, and drive resolution of deficiencies and commissioning issues.
• Coordinate energization, startup, testing, and turnover activities with alignment to schedules.
• Maintain commissioning logs, schedules, test documentation, issue tracking, and turnover records.
• Monitor readiness at key milestones and support turnover to Owner.
• Any other duties as assigned.
