Job summary

Total Deployment Solutions is seeking a Data Center Deployment Technician II to perform end-to-end structured cabling, labeling, dressing, porting, and QC/QA in live data center environments. You will work with fiber optic and copper cabling, follow drawings and client standards, and mentor Level I technicians as needed.

This in-person role is based in Childress, TX with a typical 8–5 schedule and W2 employment on project-based engagements, requiring 2–3 years of hands-on experience and a strong

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of hands-on data center experience.
• Proven experience with fiber optic and copper structured cabling.
• Labeling, bundling, dressing, and porting cables in live data centers.
• Ability to read and follow drawings, scope documents, and labeling standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end labeling of fiber optic and copper cables per client standards.
• Bundle, dress, and route cables to meet data center best practices.
• Port and connect cables to panels, switches, and hardware as designed.
• Ensure proper cable management, bend radius, slack, and presentation.
• Conduct QC/QA checks for accurate labeling and cable dressing.
• Identify and report discrepancies to project leadership.
• Work independently or with a team to meet schedules.
• Mentor Level I technicians and maintain a clean work area.
• Follow all site safety protocols and PPE requirements.
