Align Communications is seeking a Data Center Cabling Project Manager to lead large-scale, nationwide data center cabling installations in active environments. You will oversee planning, standards, field execution, and safety, ensuring projects stay on schedule and meet quality expectations.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in structured cabling in data centers, proven field supervision experience, and strong reading of cabling drawings. Travel up to 75% is required.

Position Overview

As the Data Center Cabling Project Manager, you will lead and manage large, cabling installations for major AI and hyperscale data centers across the U.S. You’ll oversee all aspects of low‑voltage cabling, from planning and standards to field execution, and make sure everything is installed safely, correctly, and on schedule.

We are looking for experienced leaders with strong data center cabling backgrounds who have successfully led field teams and installations. If you have served as a Data Center Cabling Superintendent, Cabling Superintendent, Cabling Lead, Lead Technician, Lead Fiber Technician, Foreman, Field Supervisor, Site Supervisor, Installation Supervisor, or a similar leadership role, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Able to handle fast‑paced, high‑pressure project timelines.
• Willing to travel 75% of the time to project sites (8–12‑hour days during builds).
• Hands‑on troubleshooting skills using OLTS, OTDR, VFL, and similar testing tools.
• Experience leading 5–10+ technicians across multiple sites.
• Knowledge of safety compliance, field documentation, and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent field experience.
• Experience with cabling systems for AI or HPC workloads (Spine‑Leaf topology, InfiniBand, etc.).
• Strong understanding of racks, containment, and pathway systems.
• Familiar with TIA/EIA and BICSI standards and building codes.
• Experience working with owner’s reps, vendors, and major manufacturers.
• Certifications like BICSI, RCDD, or TIA are a plus.
• Experience managing bids, RFIs, RFPs, change orders, and QA/QC documentation.
• Advanced troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for cabling issues.
