Big Impact Tech (BIT) seeks a Data Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated data pipelines, workflows, and integration solutions that improve operational efficiency, data quality, and reporting capabilities.

The role requires Python, SQL, ETL/ELT development, API integration, and cloud data platforms; you will collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver scalable automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, automation, or data integration roles.
• Strong experience with Python, SQL, and automation scripting.
• Experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines and workflow orchestration.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated data pipelines and workflows.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes for data ingestion and transformation.
• Develop data integration solutions using APIs, databases, and cloud services.
• Automate manual data collection, validation, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Monitor and troubleshoot pipelines to ensure reliability and data quality.
• Implement data quality checks, exception handling, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver automated solutions.
• Support cloud-based data platforms and data warehouses.
• Develop scripts and tools to streamline operational processes.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and data management standards.
