Data Architect – TS/SCI FSP

Department: Government Customer- Herndon

Location: Herndon, VA

Active TS/SCI clearance with FS poly required to be considered for this position
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implementation: Create and manage database structures that align with user requirements and business needs.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Data Management: Develop and maintain database schemas, tables, and dictionaries; perform data migration and transformation processes.
  • Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage database backup and recovery procedures to prevent data loss.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, data analysts, and system administrators to ensure data integrity and support application development.
  • Security: Protect databases against unauthorized access and threats, ensuring compliance with security standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain documentation related to database design, configuration, and performance metrics.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree are with a minimum of eleven (11) year’s relevant experience with the following skillsets:

  • Experience in database engineering or administration roles, with familiarity in cloud databases, cross domain solutions, and big data environments.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with various database management systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
  • Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex data and convert it into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills to identify and resolve database-related issues promptly.
Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related computer science area with 10+ years of data engineering experience with related experience within the last 2 years, or 15+ years of experience
