Job summary

State of Oregon in Salem, Oregon seeks a Data Architect (Information Systems Specialist 6) to lead the design, integration, and modernization of ODFW’s data environments. You will ensure secure, well‑architected data systems for scientific datasets, geospatial data, licensing, habitat and enterprise operations.

Responsibilities include shaping cross‑program data flows, data structures, and governance, while addressing interoperability across diverse tools and platforms.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of information systems experience designing, building, and managing data architectures, databases, and integration solutions for complex scientific, geospatial, or enterprise operational systems.
• Associate’s degree in IT or related field with three years of relevant experience in data architectures, databases, and integrations.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or related field with one year of relevant experience in data architectures, databases, and integrations.

• Guiding modernization of legacy systems
• Supporting data governance processes

Education
