Job summary

HMG AMERICA LLC is seeking a Data Architect (Databricks and Agentic AI) to design and deliver data platforms on AWS and Databricks from Genie to governance. You will architect warehouse/lakehouse solutions, define semantic layers, and build AI agents with rigorous validation in a controlled production environment.

The role focuses on Databricks-centric architecture, governance, and real-time grounding methods, with onsite work in Boston, MA.

Qualifications

• Databricks ecosystem expertise from design through production.
• Knowledge of Databricks Genie, Genie Ontology, and Genie AI Gateway.
• Experience implementing agentic AI and building/validating agents on AWS and Databricks.
• Knowledge of AgentBricks and Databricks Vector Search, or general vector search.
• Rich data warehouse and lakehouse experience with data modelling fundamentals.
• Fundamental knowledge of ontology, knowledge graphs, and semantic layers.
• Knowledge of data cataloging tools and business glossaries.
• Familiarity with Atlan or other cataloging platforms is a bonus.
• Understanding of banking domains and banking data landscapes.
• Exposure to banking assets domain and related data products.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver data and AI solutions across the Databricks ecosystem.
• Design and implement conversational analytics using Databricks Genie and Gateway.
• Build and orchestrate AI agents in AWS and Databricks, validate and evaluate them.
• Implement retrieval and grounding using vector search techniques.
• Define ontology, knowledge graph, and semantic layer foundations.
• Architect data warehouse and lakehouse solutions with data modelling across layers.
• Establish data cataloging practices and maintain business glossaries with governance teams.
