Responsibilities

• Support federal IT projects as Architect and Technology Consultant, delivering data/AI/ML requirements and prototyping.
• Provide solutioning and sales support for data, cloud, and AI/ML modernization.
• Develop prototypes, white papers, and presentations for security capabilities.
• Participate in government proposal development and solutioning.

Brief Description

Job Title: Sr. AI/ML Technologist/ Data Architect
Clearance Required: Must be a U.S Citizen and be able to get security clearance
Work Location: Vienna, VA. (Hybrid).
Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified Sr. Technologist. A Sr. AI/ML Engineer and a hands-on Data architect all rolled into one - in short someone who is highly resourceful and is genuinely interested in technology. This position requires part time support on federal projects and part time support on sales engineering including solution development and presentation. We are looking for someone who can regularly consult with projects and fulfill their unique needs while also continually evaluating new technologies and developing solutions. Many of our successful technologists are team players and a self-starters who have fostered collaborative environment, and we would like the new technologist to continue the tradition.

Key Responsibilities

• Support IT projects(s) within Federal government as an Architect and a Technology Consultant - this includes but is not limited to delivering project requirements as a Data SME, Analytics SME, AI/ML SME, architecture support, developing prototypes, developing solution presentations, and evaluating a platform.
• Provide solutioning and sales support for growth initiatives within the Data, cloud and AI/ML application modernization domain.
• Develop prototypes, write white papers, prepare presentations and give industry talks to market company’s security capabilities
• Participate in the government proposal development and solutioning process
• Formulate partnerships with key companies to pursue related opportunities
• Attend industry/community events to increase awareness of Alpha Omega’s capabilities
• Provide delivery and transition support to newly won contracts until full time resources are identified
• Maintain acute awareness of market and industry trends

Required Qualifications

Required Experience/Skills:

• At least (12) twelve years’ experience in delivering IT services and modernization using typical data, cloud, AI/ML tech stacks (AWS, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, OpenAI, Informatica etc.,)
• At least (4) four years of experience in developing and configuring large Data lakes, Big data stores, enterprise ML pipelines and sandboxes geared towards AI/ML
• Knowledge and understanding of Design and Architecture patterns in Data, AI/ML domain
• Experience using Agentic AI in automating data management and ML tasks
• Strong understanding of Cloud platforms and offerings (especially Containers and serverless)
• Knowledge and experience with Agile processes and DevSecOps engineering.
• The ability to travel between locations, mostly within Washington DC Metro area, as needed.
• Must be a U.S Citizen and be able to get security clearance

(Required Or Preferred) Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, or a similar program.

Certifications

• At least one Cloud certification (either in AI/ML, Cloud or data platforms like Databricks) that above basic level

Salary And Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $159,000 - $220,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
