Job summary

Acuity, Inc. is seeking a Data Architect to join a multi-disciplinary team supporting data engineering, operations, software engineering, security, DevOps, and data science for data acquisition, exploitation, engineering and management tasks.

You will collaborate across client staff and contractor teams, communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and help shape modernization and data enablement efforts in a fast-paced federal environment.

Position within a team supporting the client with data engineering and operations, software engineering, security engineering, DevOps engineering, application development, data science, and program management in support of data acquisition, exploitation, engineering, and management tasks. Communicate and collaborate across organizational boundaries, to include other contractor teams, client staff and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Demonstrated experience with cloud infrastructure and data management.
• Demonstrated experience with multiple OS environments including Windows, Linux, and MacOS.
• Demonstrated experience with cloud environments, including AWS.
• Demonstrated experience with development environments including AWS, Hadoop distributed file system (HDFS), Cloudera, Spark, Presto, SQL, and NoSQL.
• Demonstrated experience conducting data processing activities.
• Experience working with Python.
• Demonstrated experience building executing ETL pipelines.
• Demonstrated experience with integrating data flows with industry standard systems such as Niagra Falls.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment and be a proactive problem solver.
• Experience providing clear and concise communications for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of targeting workflows, tools and environments
• Experience with Large Language Models and agentic workflows.
• Experience with graphical databases such as Neo4J.
• Experience working with a hard target mission area.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position represents Acuity's good faith estimate of the compensation for this job title at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's qualifications, experience, education, certifications, skills, geographic location, contract requirements, applicable labor categories, and, where applicable, contract award and funding.
