Job Description

What You'll Do

As a Data Architect at Suzega, you will lead the design and implementation of enterprise data solutions that enable AI‑driven innovation for our clients. You'll architect scalable, secure data platforms using Microsoft Azure technologies while ensuring data governance and strategic alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate should possess deep expertise in Azure data services, proven experience designing enterprise‑scale data solutions, and a passion for building data architectures that empower intelligent decision‑making.

• Define and own enterprise data architecture vision, principles, and roadmap aligned with business objectives
• Design scalable, secure, and cost‑effective data platforms using Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Lake Storage
• Lead the transition from legacy data warehouses to modern lakehouse architectures
• Establish data modeling standards including dimensional modeling, Data Vault 2.0, and normalized designs for analytical and operational data stores
• Design data integration patterns and ETL/ELT pipelines for complex enterprise data ecosystems
• Define data governance frameworks including data quality, lineage, cataloging, and master data management
• Architect real‑time and batch data processing solutions for analytics and AI/ML workloads
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical data architectures
• Lead proof of concepts and technical evaluations for data technologies and platforms
• Mentor data engineers and analysts on data architecture best practices
• Ensure security, compliance, and privacy standards across all data solutions
• Optimize data platform performance, cost, and scalability

Requirements

What You'll Bring

• Experience in data architecture and enterprise data solutions
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure data services (Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake Storage)
• Expert knowledge of data modeling techniques including dimensional modeling, Data Vault 2.0, and normalization
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data transformation frameworks (Spark, Databricks)
• Deep understanding of data governance, data quality, and metadata management
• Experience with data integration patterns, ETL/ELT development, and data pipeline orchestration
• Knowledge of data security, compliance frameworks, and privacy regulations
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles and Azure services
• Proven track record of leading complex data migration and modernization projects
• Excellent communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to business stakeholders
• Experience mentoring technical teams and driving architectural standards
