Job summary

New Era Technology is seeking an experienced Data Architect with Snowflake expertise to design scalable, secure data platforms for medical devices and healthcare. This contract role supports clinical, regulatory, manufacturing, and commercial analytics.

You will build data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, enforce governance and compliance (HIPAA, FDA, GDPR), optimize Snowflake performance, and collaborate with engineering, regulatory, and quality teams across AWS/Azure/GCP environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, Data Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in data architecture/engineering roles with Snowflake.
• Strong SQL, Python, and data pipeline experience.
• Experience with data modeling ( dimensional, normalized, data vault).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) in regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise data architecture leveraging Snowflake.
• Develop scalable data models, data lakes, and data warehouses for analytics.
• Define and enforce data governance, security, and compliance (HIPAA, FDA, GDPR).
• Architect data pipelines and ETL/ELT using Snowpipe, dbt, Informatica, ADF.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Clinical, Regulatory, and Quality teams.
• Ensure data integrity, lineage, and traceability aligned with medical device standards.
• Optimize Snowflake performance, cost, and workload management.
• Support cloud data architecture across AWS, Azure, or GCP and hybrid setups.
• Enable advanced analytics, including AI/ML and real-world evidence use cases.
• Establish best practices for data lifecycle management.

Job Title: Data Architect – Snowflake (Medical Devices / Healthcare)

Mode: Contract

Duration: 6 Months (Extendable)

Work Timings: 3pm – 11.30pm IST

Mode of work: Remote-India

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect with deep expertise in Snowflake to design and manage scalable, secure, and compliant data platforms in a medical device environment. This role will support data-driven initiatives across clinical, regulatory, manufacturing, and commercial domains while ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations and data standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise data architectureleveraging Snowflake for structured and unstructured data
• Develop scalable data models, data lakes, and data warehousesto support analytics, AI/ML, and reporting
• Define and enforce data governance, security, and compliance frameworks(HIPAA, FDA, GDPR)
• Architect data pipelines and ETL/ELT processesusing modern tools (e.g., Snowpipe, dbt, Informatica, Azure Data Factory)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, and Business stakeholders)
• Ensure data integrity, lineage, and traceabilityaligned with medical device standards (e.g., ISO 13485, GxP)
• Optimize Snowflake performance, cost management, and workload management
• Support cloud data architecture(AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid environments
• Enable advanced analytics, including AI/ML and real-world evidence (RWE)use cases
• Establish best practices for data lifecycle management(ingestion, storage, archival, and retention)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture and optimization
• Expertise in data modeling(dimensional, normalized, and data vault)
• Experience with SQL, Python, and data pipeline orchestration tools
• Familiarity with cloud platforms(AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience in regulated industries(medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare)

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical device data standardsand regulatory frameworks (FDA 21 CFR Part 11, ISO 13485, IEC 62304)
• Experience with healthcare data standards(HL7, FHIR, DICOM)
• Exposure to clinical, imaging, or diagnostic data systems
• Experience with data cataloging and governance tools(Collibra, Alation, Informatica)
• Snowflake certifications (SnowPro Core, SnowPro Advanced)
• Experience with streaming data platforms(Kafka, Event Hubs)
