Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Edison, New Jersey, seeks a senior data engineering architect to design and implement enterprise-grade data pipelines and lakehouse architectures. You will work with Azure Fabric technologies, Pipelines, and Notebooks while ensuring security and governance across large data platforms.

The role requires strong SQL skills, ETL/ELT orchestration, and experience with ERP data ingestion.

Qualifications

• Hands-on with Microsoft Fabric / Azure Data Engineering stack
• Experience with Lakehouse, OneLake, Pipelines, Notebooks
• Strong ETL/ELT frameworks and pipeline orchestration
• Proficient in PySpark / Spark SQL / Advanced SQL
• Data Lake / Lakehouse / DWH concepts and data modelling
• Data security concepts (RBAC, Purview) and governance
• CI/CD & DevOps for Data Engineering
• ERP data ingestion from SAP and multi-ERP systems

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data pipelines and data models for enterprise data platforms
• Ensure data security, governance, and access control across data assets
• Collaborate with SAP/ERP teams for data ingestion and integration
• Lead architecture discussions for data lakes/warehouses and cloud components
• Apply CI/CD practices to data engineering workflows

• Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Fabric / Azure Data Engineering stack
• Lakehouse, OneLake, Pipelines, Notebooks
• Strong knowledge of:
• ETL/ELT frameworks and pipeline orchestration
• PySpark / Spark SQL / Advanced SQL
• Data Lake / Lakehouse / DWH concepts
• Data security (row/column level security concepts
• Strong experience in Data Lake / Data Warehouse implementations as an Architect
• Experience in data governance, security & access control (RBAC, Purview, etc.)
• Experience in CI/CD & DevOps for Data Engineering
• Hands-on experience working with SAP and multiple ERP systems (Sales & Finance modules preferred) for data ingestion
• Good understanding of:
• Data mapping (source-to-target at attribute level)
• ERP data structures (master & transactional data)
• Data analysis and data validation techniques

Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $125,000 per annum
