The Data Architect is responsible for translating business strategy and requirements into secure, scalable, supportable, and governed data solutions. This role emphasizes driving best practices and standardization across diverse data platforms and tools. The Data Architect partners with business leaders, data owners, data stewards, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, data engineering, analytics engineering, and application teams to ensure that data solutions are aligned with business needs and meet requirements for quality, privacy, security, interoperability, performance, reliability, observability, and cost. The role provides architectural ownership throughout the solution lifecycle and helps establish the trusted data foundation required for analytics, self-service, automation, machine learning, and AI.
