Job summary

Innodata Inc. is seeking a Data/Annotation Engineer for hands-on data work in a federal practice. You’ll administer the annotation toolchain, manage annotation workflows, and document corpus governance to ensure traceable data for AI models.

You will collaborate with the AI Solutions Engineer to ensure data fed into models is accurate and well-labeled, with a strong emphasis on disciplined, well-governed data and phase-based deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience may substitute 2-for-1.
• 5+ years total professional experience; 3+ years in data engineering or annotation operations.
• CVAT deployment and day-to-day operation required; not a nice-to-have.

Responsibilities

• Ingest and ontology-map the corpus from AFS delivery.
• Produce the ODIN load report with corpus description and readiness state.
• Configure CVAT annotation pipeline against the Phase 1 starter kit rule pack.
• Manage both self-service and lightweight annotation paths during Phase D corpus production.
• Produce 50–100 label demonstration corpus across synthetic and mission-aligned content.
• Support QC/Evaluation Lead on corpus annotation dry-runs.
