Job summary

TPG is seeking a Data Analytics & Reporting Research Assistant to join the DARL team and support sustainability analytics projects, dashboards, and automated reporting processes. You will contribute to emissions accounting, regulatory reporting, and LP engagement support.

The internship offers hands-on experience with Excel, Python, SQL, and dashboarding tools, collaborating with analysts across the firm and gaining exposure to responsible investing and climate data within a global asset

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Employment-based immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Must be located in one of the following states during the internship: AZ, CA, DC, FL, GA, IL, NJ, NY, TN, TX, VA, WI, AR, CO, IN, KY, LA, MA, MI, MN, MO, NE, NH, NC, OH, PA, SC, UT, WA, WY
• Graduate student or advanced undergraduate (i.e. student entering their final year of undergraduate studies)
• Excellent data analytics skills, including facility with Microsoft Excel and preferably one or more other statistical tool(s) (e.g., VBA, Python, R, SQL)
• Advanced data visualization experience, including the use of one or more dashboarding tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, Sigma, Streamlit)
• Experience or demonstrated interest in responsible investing, corporate social responsibility, climate/sustainability, or a related field
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload with attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and a strong work ethic and dedication to consistently provide quality work
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills, and fluency in English

Responsibilities

• Support the Data Analytics & Reporting (DARL) team with dashboards, automating reporting processes, and other data-focused improvements.
• Support recurring firm-wide sustainability analytics, emissions accounting, regulatory reporting, and LP engagement initiatives.
• Contribute to ongoing data visualization and analytics projects to inform decision-making across the firm
