Job summary

The California Department of Developmental Services in Sacramento County is seeking a Research Data Supervisor I to lead data management, analysis, and reporting of Special Incident Reporting (SIR) and Risk Management data. This role combines hands-on analysis with supervision of staff, delivering actionable insights across statewide systems and LOIS development initiatives.

The position emphasizes data quality, security, and the maintenance of dashboards and reports to support HCBS compliance

Qualifications

• Describe your ability and experience in applying complex statistical data and data models to healthcare, social services or service delivery programs and/or services.
• Describe a project where you had to deliver results with limited guidance or in an unfamiliar subject area. How did you quickly build the necessary programmatic or technical knowledge, and how did you ensure the work supported sound decision-making?

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff responsible for management, aggregation, analysis, and reporting of SIR and Risk Management data.
• Direct staff developing Power BI dashboards, reports, and other data products; establish and monitor data metrics to support Risk Management priorities.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and usability for risk oversight, quality improvement, and state/federal reporting.
