Job summary

Dow Jones, a division of News Corporation, offers a Summer 2027 Data Analyst Intern program in New York City. You will join the Data Management team to support data insights, engineering, and transformation strategies across Consumer and Professional information brands such as Factiva, WSJ, Barron’s, MarketWatch and more.

The role is hybrid in nature and based in the New York City office, with opportunities to work across data pipelines, dashboards, and analytics projects designed to drive

Qualifications

• Pursuing at least 2 years toward a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative subject.
• Exposure to data analysis and solving problems with large datasets.
• Basic fluency in SQL, Python or knowledge of relational databases.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills with advanced formulas.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Demonstrated curiosity to dive into data and find patterns.
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure such as AWS/S3 is a plus.
• Hands-on coding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with customer-facing report deliveries and ad hoc requests.
• Interpret trends from data and share insights with stakeholders.
• Develop dashboards using Tableau, Adobe, Google Analytics, or other approved tools.
• Apply quantitative analysis and data exploration to understand user behavior.
• Support end-to-end data pipelines, analyses, models and visualizations.
