Job summary

The Vanguard Group offers a 10-week paid Data Analyst internship for students pursuing degrees in Data/Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, CS, or related fields. You will analyze data to answer business questions and help build dashboards and visualizations across Vanguard.

You’ll collaborate with business and analytics teams to translate needs into analytical solutions, while receiving mentorship and developing leadership skills in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in using data to solve business problems.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and/or leadership aspirations.
• Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data to answer business questions and uncover insights that support decision-making across Vanguard.
• Support the creation of dashboards, reports, and visualizations that help teams monitor performance and communicate results clearly.
• Partner with business and analytics teams to understand needs, translate requirements into an analytical approach, and deliver solutions that drive value.
• Work with structured and unstructured data, helping to validate data quality, identify trends, and support repeatable reporting processes
• Build foundational leadership skills by taking initiative, collaborating across teams, and contributing ideas that improve outcomes.
• Build relationships with program managers, alumni, senior leaders, and peers across the program.
• Receive coaching and mentorship from your department manager and program leaders to support your growth.
