Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a data analytics professional to provide comprehensive analytics support across business units in Pittsburgh. You will work on cross-functional data-centric solutions and develop automated reports and dashboards.

You will collaborate with BI and data teams, collect and analyze data to improve key metrics, and build reporting tools while ensuring data quality and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 3 years of related technical experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting a major BI/Data Warehousing system.
• Proficient in banking and financial analytical data modeling.
• Hands-on experience designing and building with ER modeling technologies or equivalent.
• Programming proficiency using Microsoft development integration services, Python, Tibco, .NET/Java.
• Experience with Power BI, SSRS, or Cognos Analytics.
• Experience with secure coding, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing using Azure DevOps and Python.
• Expert skills in data analysis and data mining.
• Excellent customer service, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship not provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive data and analytics support for business units across the corporation.

• Develop and test databases, queries, views, reports, and dashboards.
• Assist with data conversions, imports, and exports between internal and external systems.
• Document data models, solutions, and implementations.
• Design and build reporting and analysis tools for reporting, analysis, planning, and forecasting.
• Support integration of analytical platforms with enterprise systems and applications.
• Troubleshoot analytics tools and issues; monitor performance.
• Assist with performance tuning of analytics apps and elevate production issues.
• Ensure collected data meets quality standards.
• Maintain the Metadata Repository by managing data.
• Adhere to data policies and regulatory requirements.
• Keep customers informed about BI tool problems and resolutions.
• Track and report business issues and enhancement requests.
• Serve as a risk manager by monitoring daily business risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) required
• Minimum of 3 years of related technical experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting a major Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing system
• Proficient in banking and financial analytical data modeling, including conceptual, logical, and physical modeling
• Hands-on experience designing and building with entity relational modeling technologies or equivalent
• Programming proficiency using Microsoft development integration services technology stack, Python, Tibco, .NET/Java
• Experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools such as Power BI, SSRS, or Cognos Analytics
• In-depth experience with secure coding, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks using Azure DevOps (ADO) and Python
• Expert skills in data analysis and data mining
• Excellent customer service, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
