Job summary

Wipfli LLP is seeking a Consulting Intern in Minneapolis to help clients optimize value streams through BI and analytics. You will work with our consultants to analyze data, build dashboards, and learn industry software solutions under senior mentorship.

You will gain hands-on experience with BI tools, data collection, and business analysis across Insurance, Health Care, Construction and Manufacturing sectors, while developing communication and teamwork skills in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related field.
• Preferred 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in data manipulation using Python, R, or SQL.
• Basic knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, Qlik.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analysis, design and implementation of Business Intelligence systems to turn data into insights.

More specifically consulting interns get involved with our clients in the following project experiences:

• Analysis, design and implementation of Business Intelligence systems, enabling our clients to turn data into meaningful information to better serve critical business decisions
• Create compelling dashboards to communicate insights effectively
• Utilize tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik and other for data visualization projects
• Assist in the collection and organization of datasets from various sources
• Alongside senior mentors assist with client data management needs
• Business analysis and project management associated with industry software solutions in Insurance, Health Care, Construction and Manufacturing organizations
• Proactively engage in training and learning opportunities to enhance your related skills

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Qualifications:

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Information Systems, Business Administration,Data Science, Business Analytics, or other related field of study
• Above average class performance as demonstrated by college GPA; Preferred 3.0 GPA or higher
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools like Python, R, or SQLpreferred.
• Basic knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik) preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to build and foster professional business relationships
• Desire to help companies maximize value by leveraging technology and processimprovement

This role requires a hybrid work arrangement. At Wipfli, hyrbid work is defined as associates regularly working 2-3 days a week in a Wipfli office or at client sites. The client sites can vary locally, regionally, or nationally depending on the industry alignment. Scheduled meetings at the client and in the office require in-person attendance.
