Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Data & Analytics Business Partner to shape, prioritise, govern, and deliver data initiatives that drive better business outcomes, efficiency, and customer insight.

You will work across Product, Technology, Commercial, Finance, and Strategy & Operations as an individual contributor, leading the Reuters Data Forum and translating discussions into actionable backlogs and prioritized priorities.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in data, analytics, business partnering, product operations, strategy and operations, or a related role in a complex organisation.
  • 7+ years of experience building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across product, editorial, commercial, technology, data, finance, or strategy teams.
  • 5+ years facilitating prioritisation forums, governance meetings, working groups, or cadences that drive decisions, actions, owners, timelines, and accountability.
  • 5+ years shaping ambiguous requests into problem statements, decision needs, prioritised requirements, success measures, and delivery-ready briefs.
  • Experience managing a prioritised backlog, roadmap, or portfolio from intake through delivery, adoption, and impact review.
  • 5+ years working with analytics, data products, reporting, KPIs, governance, data quality, access, privacy, or responsible AI, translating between business and technical audiences.
  • Working knowledge of analytics tools, dashboard interpretation, KPI reporting, and modern data platforms, with enough technical fluency to ask the right questions without requiring hands-on expertise.
  • 5+ years managing competing priorities, delivery issues, progress tracking, risks, trade-offs, and senior stakeholder communications.
  • Experience operating in a fast-moving, matrixed environment with active management of priorities, dependencies, capacity, and timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Help build a consistent Reuters-wide data culture through shared definitions, clearer priorities, and greater confidence in decision data.
  • Lead and facilitate the Reuters Data Forum, creating a transparent route to review requests, priorities, capacity, and trade-offs.
  • Translate forum discussions into a prioritised backlog, agreed actions, named owners, timelines, dependencies, and success measures.
  • Maintain visibility of outcomes, delivery status, risks, blockers, and escalations so leaders can make informed trade-offs.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand the business questions behind requests, including performance, customer and content insight, product adoption, newsroom operations, commercial reporting, and AI enablement.
  • Turn business needs into prioritised requirements assessed against capacity, data availability, governance needs, and strategic value.
  • Communicate progress, trade-offs, risks, and decisions clearly to senior stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Coordinate agreed Reuters D&A priorities from intake through prioritisation, delivery, adoption, and impact review.
  • Partner with analytics, engineering, data science, governance, product, and business teams to remove blockers, clarify requirements, and sustain momentum.
  • Track progress against success measures, stakeholder expectations, roadmap commitments, and expected business value.

Job Description

We're looking for a Data & Analytics Business Partner to join the Reuters business, helping teams shape, prioritise, govern, and deliver data initiatives that drive better business outcomes, greater efficiency, sharper customer insight, stronger product performance, and the responsible use of data and AI.

As an individual contributor with no direct reports, you'll work across key Reuters business areas, including Product, Technology, Commercial, Finance, and Strategy & Operations. You'll lead the rhythm of the Reuters Data Forum, driving prioritisation, coordination, governance, and delivery tracking, while building trusted stakeholder partnerships and championing clear, structured decision-making and transparent delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Build Trusted Cross-Functional Relationships
  • Build strong working relationships across Reuters business areas, including Product, Technology, Commercial, Finance, and Strategy & Operations.

  • Act as the day-to-day D&A partner, helping stakeholders frame questions, clarify decisions, and connect to the right data, analytics, engineering, governance, or product expertise.

  • Help build a consistent Reuters-wide data culture through shared definitions, clearer priorities, and greater confidence in decision data.

Lead the Data Forum and Shape Shared Priorities
  • Lead and facilitate the Reuters Data Forum, creating a transparent route to review requests, priorities, capacity, and trade-offs.

  • Translate forum discussions into a prioritised backlog, agreed actions, named owners, timelines, dependencies, and success measures.

  • Maintain visibility of outcomes, delivery status, risks, blockers, and escalations so leaders can make informed trade-offs.

Translate Reuters Business Needs into Data Priorities
  • Work with stakeholders to understand the business questions behind requests, including performance, customer and content insight, product adoption, newsroom operations, commercial reporting, and AI enablement.

  • Turn business needs into prioritised requirements assessed against capacity, data availability, governance needs, and strategic value.

The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $117,700 USD - $218,600 USD.Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
