The role emphasizes end-to-end data architecture, data integration, warehousing, visualization, and reporting using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and Power BI. Remote work is available for qualified U.S.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of professional experience as a Data Analytics Architect or Senior Data Integration Developer (Data Engineer) with focus on Microsoft technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, information systems or related field required; certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data analytics solutions using Microsoft technologies.
• Develop end-to-end data analytics architectures including data integration, warehousing, modeling, visualization and reporting on Microsoft platforms.
• Implement data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake and related tools to consolidate data into a unified platform.
• Create dashboards and reports using Power BI to enable data-driven insights for decision making.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize data processing and query performance across the stack.
• Partner with Security to ensure data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical leadership to data engineers and analysts and guide project delivery.

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics Architect with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies to join our team. As a Data Analytics Architect, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing data analytics solutions leveraging Microsoft's suite of tools and technologies. Your expertise will be instrumental in transforming complex data into actionable insights, driving business growth, and supporting decision-making processes while actively participating in new opportunity pursuits. This role is technically focused and requires the ability to execute in all the stages of the data software development lifecycle.

Primary Responsibilities

• Collaborate, business analysts and stakeholders to take business requirements translate them into scalable and efficient data analytics solutions utilizing Microsoft technologies.
• Possess in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, SQL Server, Azure Analysis Services, and other relevant Microsoft tools.
• Develop end-to-end data analytics architectures, including data integration, data warehousing, data modeling, data visualization, and reporting, leveraging Microsoft platforms.
• Implement data integration pipelines using Microsoft Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and other relevant tools to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into a unified data platform.
• Create visually appealing and interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Microsoft Power BI, enabling users to gain valuable insights from data.
• Work with Data Analytics Architecture team to identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations to improve data processing, query performance, and overall system efficiency.
• Partner with our Security practice to ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards are met.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership and guidance to data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Keep abreast of the latest advancements in data analytics technologies (Microsoft based and others) and industry trends, continuously enhancing your expertise and applying best practices in solution design and implementation.

Professional Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Systems or related field desired or applicably aligned professional experience. Relevant certifications (Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Power BI Data Analyst Associate, etc.) are a plus.
• Eight or more years of professional experience working as a Data Analytics Architect or a Senior Data Integration Developer (Data Engineer) with a primary focus on architecting Microsoft technologies. Candidate must possess at minimum of one year of full-lifecylce greenfield architectural experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders, at all levels, in all environments, scheduled and impromptu.
• Innovative with a demonstrated curiosity to expand skills and adapt to a changing technological landscape
• Presents professionally in interactions with all levels of the organization as well as client environments.
• Strong customer service focus with demonstrated ability to work closely with them to identify, resolve any potential communication or technical issues.
• Ability to present and participate in requirements elicitation and brainstorming sessions with internally and externally facing teams both in both ad hoc and structured environments.
• Experience in the facilitation and elicitation of information to design needs focused solutions while ensuring all key contributors are heard.
• Demonstrated business acumen to enable high-quality solution design that aligns with the business needs.

Technical Experience Requirements

• Proficiency in data modeling, data integration, and data visualization techniques using Microsoft technologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to design scalable and efficient data analytics architectures.
• Excellent understanding of data warehousing concepts, data governance, and data quality principles.
• Knowledge of data security and compliance considerations in the context of data analytics.
• Exhibited depth of competency in architecting Microsoft data analytics technologies, including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Power BI, SQL Server, and Azure data platform architectural design.
• Understanding of data architecture principles, including data modeling (dimensional and normalized), metadata management, and data governance.
• Experience conducting data architecture reviews and assessments, identifying gaps, and recommending scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.
• Proficiency in ETL/ELT development, data pipeline orchestration, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with AI/ML integration in analytics workflows using tools like Azure Machine Learning, Python, or R is beneficial.
• Strong background utilizing source control management tools (Azure DevOps, Git, JIRA SVN.)
• Continuous exposure to delivering within development or other relevant methodologies (Scrum, Agile, KANBAN)

• Willingness to travel four to six times per year with no more than 24 days away from home in a calendar year.

This remote role is only open to individuals that reside in one of the following states at the time of application: Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, North Carolina, Arkansas, Arizona, or South Dakota.

Candidates will be required to travel to our corporate location for new hire orientation and onboarding.
