Job summary

Google is offering a Data Analytics Apprenticeship in the United States. The 18‑month program combines on‑the‑job training with formal instruction to develop entry‑level data analytics skills. Apprentices will work with SQL, Tableau, R, and AI‑powered methods to clean, analyze, and visualize data and present findings to stakeholders.

Apprentices are paid hourly, commit 40 hours per week, and may be based in multiple U.S. locations including New York, Atlanta, Chicago, or Los Angeles.

• High School Diploma or equivalent; not enrolled in analytics Bachelor’s/ Master’s/PhD.
• No completed analytics-related bachelor’s degree required.
• Less than 1 year of relevant data analytics experience.

• Conduct experiments to identify insights and design tests.
• Present data-driven findings to partners.

Job description

Participation in the Apprenticeship program requires that you are located in the United States for the duration of the apprenticeship program.

This apprenticeship is intended for individuals who want to learn and develop entry-level technical and professional skills in data analytics. If you are currently pursuing or hold a degree in data analytics (or a related field), or bring more than a year of relevant experience, we encourage you to browse our University Graduate and Internship opportunities instead.

This role may also be located in our Playa Vista, CA campus.

Minimum qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or practical experience.
• Not currently enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree program in an analytics-related field.
• Less than 1 year of relevant data analytics experience.

• Experience using Google Workspace or a similar suite of productivity tools.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous tasks, find suitable solutions, and seek help/advice where appropriate.

About The Job

The Google Data Analytics Apprenticeship is a Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Program and a structured learning and development opportunity. During the 18 month program, apprentices will participate in on-the-job training, related technical instruction, and career development workshops to develop professional and durable skills. Upon completion, apprentices receive a nationally-recognized credential, certified by the U.S. Department of Labor.

As a Data Analytics Apprentice at Google, you will develop the skills you need to pursue an entry-level career in data analytics.

You will learn and apply core data analysis skills, navigating the data lifecycle from collection to impactful insights. You will also use tools like SQL, Tableau, R, and AI-powered methods (where applicable) for data cleaning, analysis, and visualization. You'll drive data-driven decisions by designing experiments, analyzing impact, and presenting findings to cross-functional stakeholders.

Apprentices are paid hourly for their time split between on-the-job training and related technical instruction, and are required to dedicate 40 hours each week to the program. Apprenticeships begin with an immersive virtual onboarding experience to build a foundational understanding of the profession. Apprentices will then join a Google team to train on-the-job, while continuing to engage in track-specific learnings and career workshops throughout the program. As part of the program, apprentices receive holistic career readiness support, and toward the end of the program will have the time and space to prepare for their next endeavor.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $47500 - $63500 (USD) + 0% bonus target
