Job summary

The Data/Functional Analyst under supervision is responsible for assisting in the coordination of data collection, analysis, reporting, projects, and maintenance of statistics and performance measures for an assigned department. This position uses best practices in research and statistical analysis, gathers data and designs reports to the department to be used in policy and operational decisions.

This position also recommends what data should be collected to determine critical outcome measures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business management from an accredited university or college with one (1) year’s experience in business analysis or office support.
• Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Responsibilities

• Coordinates data collection, data entry, data analysis, data or information manipulation and presentation.
• Assists in the development and training of new systems.
• Coordinates training.
• Generates and reports results on performance measures for the Department and submits to respective agencies and designated areas upon approval.
• Provides graphs and clear, accurate data for presentation.
• Analyzes reports and other output requirements.
• Develops and analyzes reports.
• Communicates with department users for the analysis of data collection issues.
• Develops and presents oral and written presentations to Department Management or other County departments and the public, as assigned.
