RiverSource is seeking a Data Analytics & AI Intern to gain hands-on experience applying data and emerging technologies to solve business challenges in an in-person, team-oriented setting in Minneapolis. Ideal candidates are undergraduates graduating in Dec 2027 or May/June 2028, with interest in analytics, AI, data science, or related fields.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate student with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or May/June 2028.
• Interest in data analytics, business analytics, artificial intelligence, data science, operations, finance, insurance, or a related area.
• Comfort working with information, asking questions, and solving problems.
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Review business and operational data to identify trends, questions, and opportunities for improvement.
• Help create or improve dashboards, reports, scorecards, or visuals that make information easier to understand.
• Partner with team members to learn how data supports insurance, operations, and leadership decision-making.
• Explore practical ways AI or automation could simplify recurring work or improve business processes.
• Organize findings and help translate data into clear, audience-friendly recommendations.
• Collaborate with business partners and present project learnings or recommendations at the end of the internship.
