As part of a team of dedicated professionals, the selected candidate will perform data analysis and research in support of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and other government agencies. They will deliver high-quality products and services to clients on projects related to surface water quality assessment, watershed planning, nonpoint source management, analysis of drinking water contamination, protection of drinking water sources, development of water regulations, administration of water-related grant programs, and water infrastructure planning.

This position requires previous professional experience with one or more Clean Water Act programs, such as nonpoint source pollution, assessment of surface water quality standards, impaired waters listing, or development of Total Maximum Daily Loads. Working with Safe Drinking Water Act programs is also a plus. Experience could come from a previous position with a government agency, consulting firm, or another organization involved with implementing federal water regulations. The selected candidate will apply their knowledge, skills, and experience to plan and complete tasks to identify, evaluate, and review sources of data and information; perform data cleaning, analysis, and visualization; write technical documents; and assist with developing educational, training, or outreach materials. Experience working with large environmental datasets and geospatial layers and using programming languages (R or Python) for data analysis is also required.

The position will interact with colleagues, clients, and external federal, state, and local entities to understand challenges, discuss solutions, present methods and results, and gather feedback.
