Job summary

Goldbelt Inc. is seeking a Data Analyst – Journeyman to analyze structured and unstructured data to support decision-making for USSOCOM.

The role involves creating dashboards and visualizations using tools like Tableau and Power BI, and collaborating with DBAs, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience with data tools, databases, data modeling, and business intelligence.

Qualifications

• Experience in data modeling, transformation and visualization.
• Familiarity with SQL and data extraction/analysis.
• Knowledge of at least one OO language (Python, Java, C++, or .NET).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access).
• Ability to develop data visualizations for leadership decisions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, transform, and analyze large data sets from multiple sources.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
• Gather reporting requirements from stakeholders and design reports.
• Write queries and scripts to extract and analyze data from enterprise databases.
• Generate recurring and ad hoc reports for operations and leadership.
• Contribute to data models and workflows to improve reporting efficiency.
• Perform data quality checks and document sources and processes.
• Collaborate with IT and DBAs to troubleshoot data access and integration issues.
• Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives and mission readiness.
