Job summary

MACHINE INTELLIGENCE TECHNOLOGIES LLC in Jersey City seeks a Data Analyst to translate business needs into technical requirements and collaborate with stakeholders across disciplines. The role focuses on turning business concepts into actionable data specifications and models.

You will act as a bridge between Judiciary business units and the data warehouse development team, documenting data glossaries, rules and processes to guide design, testing, and governance efforts.

Job description

• Collaborate with stakeholders from multiple disciplines to elicit business, data and functional requirements into Technical requirements


• The role is to act as a liaison between Judiciary business units and data warehouse technical development team to ensure business requirements are understood and translated into functional and technical requirements.


• Document business data glossaries including business definitions and business rules for technical team to develop logical and physical data model design.


• Data Analysts will understand raw data for various departments and consolidate it into information useful for decision-making by users for Unified Enterprise Judiciary System.


• Translate data requirements into clearly defined and easily understood documents, including business use cases, process flows, data flows, business rules, data definitions and process-to- data mapping diagrams etc.


• Required experience on SQL writing like DB2 , AWS (Dynamo, Redshift) as well as have a High-level Understanding of Technical Programing like Java, Python, Pega etc.


• Work with stakeholders including business and technology SMEs to conduct design sessions/training sessions / demos, and to develop user manuals and guides if necessary.


• Work closely with the design and development team to ensure that the technology solution satisfies business requirements.


• Partner with QA team and SMEs to ensure adequate test coverage (relying on own knowledge, as well as facilitating conversations with SMEs, to identify additional test scenarios).


• Suggest multiple implementation options each with associated risks/costs and where applicable, recommend an option


• Assist with troubleshooting and managing production issues when needed

Requirements:

• 2 – 3 years of experience with SQL like DB2 (Legacy), AWS (Dynamo, Redshift ) is a must.


• Track record of innovation in the everyday, as well as development of breakthrough ideas


• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to break down project tasks, define project scope, plan and organize resources to complete projects on time and within budget


• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills


• 5+ years of experience with at least 2+ years working in a business analyst function supporting data governance and management initiatives is preferred


• Knowledge of SharePoint and JIRA is a plus (Preferred)


• 2 – 3 years of Experience Microsoft Excel, Visio, PP, Docs. (preferred)


• 1 year Experience in Data Visualization. (preferred)
