Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Data Analyst Mid for a 6+ month contract in Irving, TX (onsite). You will work with Rewards and Fuel Loyalty teams to define KPIs and deliver insights across dashboards and reports.

The role requires advanced SQL on Databricks, Python, and Power BI expertise to measure performance and drive decisions. You will analyze customer engagement, loyalty programs, and promotions, presenting findings to product and leadership stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in data analytics, product analytics, or BI.
• Advanced SQL experience on cloud platforms (Databricks/Spark SQL).
• Dashboards/reports for business stakeholders (Power BI or Tableau).
• Hands-on Python for data analysis and validation of data quality.

Immediate need for a talented Data Analyst Mid. This is a 06+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Irving ,TX(Onsite).

Pay Range: $45 - $50/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the embedded analyst for the Rewards and Fuel Loyalty product teams, collaborating with product managers to define KPIs and report on results.
• Build and maintain master analysis tables in Databricks (using SQL/Python) that track loyalty, deals, rewards, and fuel program performance.
• Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and recurring reports, ensuring consistent metric definitions.
• Measure the performance of offers and promotions using test vs. control and cohort methods.
• Analyze app engagement event data (using Mixpanel) alongside transaction data, identifying and escalating data gaps and quality issues.
• Deliver ad hoc deep dives on customer segmentation, member activity, and offer redemption, presenting findings to product and leadership stakeholders.
• Maintain the team's analytics initiatives and backlog tracker, documenting tables, methodologies, and metric definitions for reusability.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• 3–5 years of experience in data analytics, product analytics, or business intelligence, including 3 years of advanced SQL experience on large-scale cloud data platforms such as Databricks/Spark SQL.
• Proven experience building and maintaining dashboards and reporting in Power BI (or Tableau) for business stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience analyzing customer, transaction, or digital product data to measure KPIs and business impact.
• Working proficiency in Python (using pandas or similar) for data analysis.
• Strong attention to data quality with the ability to validate data and reconcile sources.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of coordinating across product, engineering, and data teams.
• Experience with product analytics tools such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, or Client Analytics.
• Familiarity with experimentation and incrementality measurement (A/B testing).
• Experience with loyalty, rewards, subscription, or fuel program analytics.
• Knowledge of Databricks notebooks/jobs and version control (Git).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools and Jira/Agile methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Analytics) or equivalent experience.
• Master's degree in Analytics, Data Science, or a related field is desired, not a must-have.
• Databricks or Power BI (PL-300) certification is desired, not a must-have.
