Job summary

Booz Allen is seeking an analytics professional to transform data into actionable insights on our National Security team. You will work with clients to understand questions, then explore data-rich environments to guide decision making and optimize federal systems.

You’ll present findings using Tableau, Power BI, Python and R, develop dashboards, and establish KPIs to drive outcomes while growing your communication and technical skills across teams.

Qualifications

• Experience synthesizing structured or unstructured data
• Experience creating interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or R
• Knowledge of data analytics concepts, quantitative and qualitative metric or KPI development, and best practices for converting complex data sets into clear graphs, tables, and presentation materials
• Ability to lead client briefings, facilitate interactive data workshops, and adapt quickly to shifting client priorities and complex mission problems
• Ability to provide a 2-5 page work product that does not contain confidential information, showcasing the creation of a report, paper, brochure, PowerPoint deck, advanced spreadsheet, or data visualization
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree

With the abundance of structured and unstructured data, you understand the importance of transforming complex data sets into useful information to solve challenges. As a data analyst at Booz Allen, you can use your skills to support a mission and use data for good. We need a data analyst like you to bring your knowledge to empower customers to understand data and improve decision‑making. As a client‑facing data analyst on our National Security team, you'll work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs and then dig into their data‑rich environments to help find the pieces of their information puzzle. Not only will you extract and evaluate their data, but you'll also help your client interpret the information and recommend how it can be used to make an impact on government decisions and optimizing federal systems.

You Have:

• Experience synthesizing structured or unstructured data

• Experience with scripting tools such as Python or PowerShell
• Knowledge of database querying such as SQL, cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Snowflake, or basic statistical modeling techniques
• Secret clearance
• Master's degree in Data Analytics, Analytics, Data Science, or a related technical field
• Tableau Certified Data Analyst, Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate, or AWS Certified Data Analytics Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $48,000.00 to $98,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
