Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Data Analyst I to implement best information technology data management practices, improve data quality, and deliver analyzable databases within project timelines.
The role designs and writes applications for data entry, management and reporting, assists in data management plans, trains staff, performs statistical analyses, and supports researchers with queries and methods.
The Data Analyst I is responsible for implementing best information technology data management practices in an effort to improve and ensure quality, streamline data cleaning efforts and deliver analyzable databases within agreed upon project timelines.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics and/or related field, or combination of equivalent work experience and education. Master’s degree in relevant field of study preferred.
2-3 years database application/management experience, preferably in a large medical center or healthcare environment. Experience with data manipulation in R ?reproducible dplyr stuff, dates, working with different data structures- and some database skills or ability to learn them quickly Experience in creating and managing a basic SQL database in Minerva. Python would be a plus. Geospatial analysis techniques, advanced modeling techniques (e.g. nonlinear, distributed lag, Bayesian) preferred.
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $66,482.07 - $74,250.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
