Job summary

ECP is seeking a Data Analyst to build the Insights product for senior living operators. You will own client-facing analyses and dashboards end to end, from discovery to delivery, using Databricks, SQL, and Python.

You will work closely with product, data engineering, and customers, shaping roadmap, ensuring accuracy, and handling protected health information in line with HIPAA and our security requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and capable of delivering analyses on large datasets.
• Strong SQL with joins, window functions, and performance tuning.
• Experience shipping analyses/reports to external customers or stakeholders.
• Experience using Python or PySpark for data processing.

ECP Insights is our customer-facing reporting and analytics product. It gives senior living operators visibility across their portfolio and the reporting they need to run their business, from clinical care to occupancy to billing.

We are looking for a Data Analyst to build it. Some of what you build will be standard reporting that ships to every customer. Some will begin as a request from a single customer. In both cases you will build for reuse, so that work done for one operator can extend to others when it makes sense.

The work is primarily in Databricks, using SQL and Python or PySpark. Some reporting also requires querying our production databases directly.

You will work with customers directly, and the expectation is product discovery rather than intake. Understand the need behind the request, propose a better approach when there is one, and shape what we build instead of only executing what is asked.

Insights is a new product and this role carries real influence over its direction. You will join a small team and report to our VP of Data.

Responsibilities

• Own client-facing analyses and dashboards end to end, from the initial conversation with the customer through delivery.
• Run discovery with customers. Understand the underlying need, propose an approach, and define what will be built.
• Use client input to prioritize what we build next across the reporting roadmap.
• Design for reuse. Build standard reporting that serves all customers, and build client-specific work so it can extend to others when the need is shared.
• Write SQL and Python or PySpark against large, multi-tenant datasets in Databricks.
• Contribute dbt models alongside our data engineering team when the transformation belongs upstream.
• Explain coverage, limitations, and methodology to customers.
• Own the accuracy of what ships.
• Work with product, data engineering, and customer-facing teams to turn recurring requests into product.
• Handle protected health information in line with HIPAA and our security requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• You have independently built and shipped analyses or reporting against large, complex datasets using SQL and Python or PySpark.
• You already use AI coding tools in your day to day work, for example Claude Code or Cursor. This is how we work and we expect the same here.
• Strong SQL, including joins, window functions, and query performance on large tables.
• Working knowledge of Databricks, or strong experience on a comparable platform such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Spark elsewhere.
• Experience presenting your own work to people who did not build it, ideally external customers.
• A track record of owning work end to end.
