The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is hiring a Data Analyst to support the Human Resources Division, working closely with the Analytics, Asset, and Performance Management Branch. This role focuses on analyzing and researching DDOT and Human Resources policy, projects, programs, and strategic planning, with deliverables including data analysis, visualization, and reporting to inform HR initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage data systems to support end-to-end data acquisition, storage, retrieval, analysis, reporting, and practical use.
- Identify, extract, integrate, and analyze data to support Human Resources projects, initiatives, and tasks.
- Provide data visualization and analysis services, including data mining, exploratory data analysis, data visualization, and report development.
- Clean, transform, validate, and model data to generate insights and support decision-making.
- Conduct initial data analysis to evaluate data quality, meaning, and to perform additional data screening.
- Analyze and define data requirements and specifications.
- Design, develop, implement, modify, and manage databases while maintaining data source accuracy and accessibility.
- Deliver technical expertise in data analysis, business intelligence tools, data visualization, and systems analysis and design.
- Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques, producing ongoing reports.
- Perform in-depth data analysis, visualization, and research to support the effective implementation of HR initiatives within DDOT.
Required Qualifications
- One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the grade 12 level.
- Advanced data analysis and visualization skills.
- Extensive project management experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Tableau, Python, and ESRI ArcGIS products is highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information System, Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or a related field is preferred.
