Knowesis is seeking a Data Analyst to support the USAF Suicide Risk and Sexual Assault Analysis programs, applying data analysis and visual analytics to health and readiness initiatives.

The role requires US citizenship, the ability to obtain a Tier 1 background, and collaboration with USAFSAM/FESO, with travel as needed.

You will maintain risk models, integrate multiple data sources, draft technical reports, and contribute to the OST training program.

Position: Data Analyst — DAF Suicide Risk Analysis Support

Location: Wright-Patterson AFB, OH

Clearance Required: Public Trust

Status: Funded

Salary Range: $95,000 - $113,000

Knowesis is currently seeking an exceptional Data Analyst to join our team and provide invaluable support to the 711th Human Performance Wing (711 HPW), United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM), Department of Aerospace Medicine, Aerospace Medicine Studies and Analysis Division (FES), Operational Support Team (FESO). This position directly supports the Department of the Air Force’s (DAF) Suicide Risk and Sexual Assault Analysis mission by providing data analysis and visual analytics expertise to help protect the health and readiness of the Total Force.

To be eligible for this position, candidates must possess U.S. Citizenship without the need for sponsorship, both now and in the future, and must be able to obtain and maintain a Tier 1 (T1)/SF-85 Position of Trust background investigation. Applicants without proof of U.S. Citizenship will not be considered due to the position’s security and suitability requirements.

The Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Lead analysis of health surveillance data and military records to support risk reduction across the United States Air Force (USAF) Total Force.
• Maintain and fine-tune active-duty and civilian suicide risk models and the sexual assault risk model, including processing and cleaning data that feed into each model.
• Integrate health, personnel, deployment, and Defense Organizational Climate Survey (DEOCS) data into usable formats for end users.
• Support data collection efforts for USAFSAM/FESO.
• Draft and present technical reports and briefings on study and analysis status while meeting FESO deadlines.
• Independently analyze and resolve complex problems while collaborating with stakeholders on execution strategies.
• Assist in teaching the data analytics portion of the Operational Support Team (OST) course.
• Provide consultative support to base-level Operational Support Teams.
• Serve as a regular point of contact for USAFSAM/FESO leadership and staff.
• Travel occasionally, as required, to support meetings and conferences; travel will be coordinated in advance through the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).

Required Qualifications:

• Master of Public Health (MPH), Master of Science (MS), or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Epidemiology, Statistics, Data Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field approved by USAFSAM/FESO.
• Advanced analytical skills, including visual analytics, in population health and health data surveillance.
• Demonstrated ability to design, formulate, conduct, and lead data analyses involving health surveillance and related military records.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAS, SAS Enterprise Guide, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to obtain and maintain current Scientific and Technical Information (STINFO) training.
• Ability to obtain and maintain current Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) training to access and process identified medical data.
• Willingness and aptitude to learn additional analytical tools, such as Tableau, Python, R, SAS Viya, Power BI, or Qualtrics.
• U.S. Citizenship currently holding a Public Trust clearance
