Job summary

Systechcorp Inc is seeking a Data Analyst to support trader mandate exceptions and large order management streams with advanced data analysis.

Job Description:

Key responsibilities and skills include:

Data Analysis Skills

• Understanding of data and how to move it between different layers.
• Proficiency in data transformation, including exploding one-to-many relationships and understanding cardinalities.
• Strong SQL skills for dealing with live data.
• Experience with Redshift is preferred.
• Ability to manage and interpret JSON extracts.
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation on local machines or through cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and potentially Claude LLMs.

Domain Knowledge

• Understanding of trade lifecycles, including order generation, execution, booking, and settlement.
• While not a strict prerequisite, the ability to quickly pick up this knowledge is essential.
• Familiarity with the trade domain, including knowledge of traders, exchanges, and various financial instruments (e.g., derivatives, options, swaps, commodities, bonds, FX, equities).
• Understanding the difference between trade economics and non-trade economics.
• Awareness of the sell-side environment within investment banking.
• Familiarity with different business domains like MAM, MatCat, BFS within Macquarie.
• Knowledge of systems like MTS (Risk Management System) is beneficial.

The role requires a blend of strong data analysis skills and the ability to quickly acquire and apply domain-specific knowledge. The primary focus is on supporting the data analysis work for both the trader mandate exceptions and large order management streams.
