Job summary

iQuartic Inc. is seeking a Data Analyst to transform raw data into actionable insights. You will build and maintain data systems, perform quality analyses, and create interpretable reports for management.

The role requires strong statistical skills, data visualization expertise, and experience with SQL, Oracle, R, Python, and Hadoop/Spark. Applicants should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, and able to collaborate cross-functionally while meeting strict data

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in CS or equivalent with work experience required.
• 1–3 years in data management or a similar role.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Proven experience in data analysis and visualization tools.
• Proficient in SQL, Oracle, R, MATLAB and Python.
• Familiar with Hadoop and Apache Spark for data processing.

As Data Analyst, You Will…

• Use automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources
• Remove corrupted data and fix coding errors and related problems
• Develop and maintain databases, data systems – reorganizing data in a readable format
• Perform analysis to assess quality and meaning of data
• Filter data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify and correct code problems
• Use statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets that could be helpful for the diagnosis and prediction
• Assign numerical value to essential business functions so that business performance can be assessed and compared over periods of time
• Analyze local, national, and global trends that impact both the organization and the industry
• Prepare reports for the management stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data

Requirements

As Data Analyst, You Have…

• Bachelor of Science in BS Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and work experience (required)
• At least 1 to 3 years experience in data management and/or a similar role
• Ability to work any schedule, including overnights, weekends, and holidays
• Proven working experience in data analysis
• Knowledge of data visualization software like Tableau or Qlik
• Knowledge of how to create and apply the most accurate algorithms to datasets in order to find solutions
• Experience in handling reporting packages like Business Objects, programming (Javascript, XML, or ETL frameworks), databases
• Knowledge of programming languages like SQL, Oracle, R, MATLAB, and Python
• Strong mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organize, and analyze data
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Systematic and logical approach to problem-solving
• Superior attention to detail with an eye for accuracy
• Ability to work both independently and in a team setting within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Technical proficiency regarding database design development, data models, techniques for data mining, and segmentation
• Proficiency in statistics and statistical packages like Excel, SPSS, and SAS to be used for data set analyzing
• Skills in using data processing platforms like Hadoop and Apache Spark
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
