Job description

Responsibilities

• Understand and analyze complex business & data requirements.
• Prepare detailed functional specifications that drive the design of data model & ETL solutions for data warehouse.
• Develop a broad understanding of upstream and downstream systems and processes, including impact and gap analysis of current databases and reporting systems.
• Perform data analysis using a variety of SQL tools to query major databases and provide technical assistance as SME in identifying, evaluating and developing data solutions that meet business requirements.
• Help with data validation and testing approach, systems testing, and provide post production support to data quality processes.
• Provide training, resolve questions, and give direction to less experienced staff.

Minimum Qualifications

• Significant experience with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Ability to translate business processes and gaps into technical flow and requirements
• Strong data analysis skills
• Experience with large database such as Oracle and/or DB2
• Understanding of UNIX, proficiency is a plus
• Strong understanding of ETL process for databases
• Experience in testing and data validation
• Good understanding of data quality assurance processes and procedures
• Understanding of database design / data modeling
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Experience with presentation and facilitation
• Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Skills

• Preferred Experience in Financial Services industry
