JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in SQL and Excel, with hands-on experience in data extraction, manipulation, and consolidation. You will work with various disjointed datasets, aligning fragmented columns and rows, performing basic joins, and preparing clean, structured data for reporting and analysis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Extract, clean, and manipulate data from multiple sources using SQL and Excel
• Perform basic to intermediate SQL joins to combine datasets
• Consolidate disjointed data by matching and aligning columns to the correct rows
• Use Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, pivot tables, data validation) to organize and analyze datasets
• Identify and resolve inconsistencies, duplicates, and errors in the data
• Collaborate with team members to understand data needs and translate them into actionable insights
• Document data processes and provide clear communication around data quality and structure

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Proficiency in SQL (basic to intermediate joins, filtering, grouping, data transformation)
• Strong Excel skills, including data cleaning, formulas, and pivot tables
• Attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset
• Experience working with messy, unstructured, or disjointed data
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
