Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with data analysis, including mapping and transformation processes.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and validation.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a strong commitment to data quality and integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Application Developers, Legacy System SMEs, and stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze data migration requirements.
  • Analyze and map legacy data structures to target platforms, ensuring mapping specifications and transformation rules are accurate.
  • Document steps for data transformation, cleansing, and validation to maintain data quality.
  • Track migration requirements, mapping rules, and progress using DevOps tools, while keeping stakeholders updated.
  • Act as the main point of contact for client data migration questions and manage expectations.
  • Log migration errors and records not transferred, then investigate to address issues for future runs.
  • Provide ongoing support to Project Managers, SMEs, developers, data engineers, and QA analysts by communicating progress.

Job description

Mi-Case is hiring a Data Analyst for a hybrid role in Desert Ridge, AZ. This position supports data migration by turning legacy data realities and target platform needs into clear, precise mapping and transformation specifications. If you enjoy working close to stakeholders and driving data quality through careful analysis and validation, this role is built for you.

Compensation: $110,000 to $120,000 per year (Full-time, Exempt)

What you’ll do
  • Collaborate with Application Developers, Legacy System SMEs, and stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze data migration requirements.
  • Analyze and map legacy data structures to target platforms, ensuring data mapping specifications and transformation rules are accurate.
  • Document the steps for data transformation, cleansing, and validation to help maintain high standards for data quality and integrity.
  • Track migration requirements, mapping rules, and progress using tools such as DevOps, while keeping stakeholders updated.
  • Act as the main point of contact for client data migration questions, providing clear and consistent communication to manage expectations and keep work aligned.
  • Log migration errors and records not transferred, then investigate to address issues for future migration runs.
  • Provide ongoing support to Project Managers, SMEs, developers, data engineers, and quality analysts by communicating progress and troubleshooting issues as they come up.
What you bring
  • 7 years of experience (minimum) in data analysis, with exposure to data migration work.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with data analysis, including mapping and transformation processes.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and validation.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a strong commitment to data quality.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with data migration tools and methodologies (preferred).
