Job summary

Stratolaunch is seeking a level I or II Data Analyst to support air‑launched hypersonic vehicles in Mojave, CA. The role interfaces with multi‑disciplinary engineering and program management teams, performing data cleaning, analysis, modeling, and visualization using programming tools.

The position offers growth through Tier I/II levels, with emphasis on test planning, data reviews, and collaboration with customers. Some travel is anticipated, and hybrid work options may be considered.

Stratolaunch is a technology accelerator that engineers operationally realistic testing at Mach 5+. Our air‑launched, Talon testbeds are reusable, cost‑effective platforms that enable routine access to the hypersonic environment. Stratolaunch is seeking a level I or II Data Analyst to support air‑launched hypersonic vehicles. An ideal candidate will have knowledge of various data analytical concepts, programming languages, and tools. This role involves interfacing with a multi‑disciplinary engineering team and program management.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATION & SKILLS

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with an aerospace engineering development/modification program
• Experience wearing multiple hats in a small team environment
• Experience defining, managing, and verifying requirements for hypersonic vehicles with hot‑structure airframes
• Experience translating operational analysis into system requirements
• Active security clearance

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CAD (NX Preferred)
• Experience with configuration management systems such as Jira, Git, etc.
• Experience with requirement management systems such as Jama, Cameo, DOORS, etc.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Level I ($83,000-$120,500): Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from accredited institution, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• Level II ($101,079-$146,500): Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from accredited institution and 2-5 years of engineering experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience

Special remarks regarding work environment, if applicable

• Position based in Mojave, CA. Consideration for hybrid (partial remote/on‑site work) work location arrangement for well‑qualified candidates and remote (outside of CA) work location arrangement for exceptional candidates.
• Travel, as needed, to support the department. Travel estimated to be <5%

Base salary and leveling are established on a case‑by‑case basis. We consider several factors to ensure a competitive offer, including your location, educational background, and a comprehensive assessment of the skills and experience demonstrated during your interviews.
